~ Mason Fire Department Has 2 New CDL Drivers

The Mason Fire Department to comply with the State of New Hampshire Law of requiring drivers of fire apparatus to have a Commercial Driver’s License offered an in-house CDL program by partnering with the Hollis Fire Department, who has the required Federal Motor Carrier Safety training designation, to complete the process. The process includes over 20 hours of road/ classroom education to complete the steps of the pre-trip inspection and actual driving of the apparatus.

The department would like to congratulate Driver Operator Trainee Melissa Rantamaki and Lieutenant Beau Landry, on the successful completion of this process. Chief Burns said “We are very proud of these two for completing our inaugural in-house program. It required a considerable amount of time and patience to complete this process for the citizens of Mason.”
