TOWN OF MASON, NH
Energy Aggregation Committee
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS

Mason Elementary School multi-purpose room
13 Darling Hill Rd
Mason, NH 03048

Saturday January 27, 2024 at 9:00am and Thursday February 8, 2024 at 7:00pm

Pursuant to NH RSA 53-E, the Mason Energy Aggregation Committee, which has been designated by the Board of Selectmen, is holding public hearings on a proposed Community Power Plan.  There will be a brief presentation about Community Power in Mason followed by an opportunity to ask questions and make comments about the plan and program.

The Town of Mason has developed a Community Power Plan (the “Plan”) which outlines how Mason’s Community Power Program will work. The Community Power Plan is available on the town website, www.masonnh.us, under the Energy Aggregation Committee tab.

Mason’s Community Power Program is designed to offer competitive choices to Mason’s electric consumers as an alternative to the default energy service provided by the town’s electric utility company, Eversource.  Under the Plan, consumers would be able to opt-out of the Community Power Program and select Eversource as their default energy service provider, or may choose their power supply from another competitive supplier, at any time before or following enrollment in the Community Power Program, without fees or penalties.  There is no cost to the Town to establish or operate the Community Power Program.  An article will be placed on the March 2024 Warrant for approval of the Plan by a majority of those voting.  All citizens are invited to attend.
