Town of Mason welcomes Fire Chief Anthony Burns

Chief Anthony Burns is a 27 year veteran of the fire service. He began his career as a volunteer for Scriba, New York Volunteer Fire Corporation as a lieutenant and corporate president. For the past 7 years, he has held the office of Chief for Walthourville Fire Department in Walthourville, GA. Chief Burns has also held positions as an industrial fire protection specialist, a hazardous material technician in a metropolitan department, and more than 20 years as an EMT. Amongst 8 national fire certifications, hundreds of state and regional certifications, and thousands of training hours, he also holds certification as a fire investigator, as well as a Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Administration.
