2020-2021 Bird Surveys at Nissitissit Headwaters Conservation Area

A new research report is posted on the Conservation Commission site. It’s a survey of the birds found at Mason’s Nissitissit Headwaters Conservation Land belonging to the Piscatquog Land Conservancy. The bird research study describes a fascinating array of local birds with a focus on birds of conservation concern in New Hampshire and recommendations for land stewardship actions that will protect their habitats. The study was conducted by Gail Coffey, a Wilton resident, for her field research project - a requirement for her to complete the Mass Audubon Birding Certificate Program.
